Ten Spider Enterprises, LLC, considers the privacy of our guests to be of
paramount importance. This Online Privacy Policy establishes how our
company will use information we gather about you from your visit to any of
our websites or through email. No information that would uniquely identify
you as an individual is ever collected through our websites unless you
freely choose to divulge such information. Our websites may employ
browser cookies to enable certain website functionality, but will not
utilize cookies for purposes of data collection or download any hidden code
onto your computer. (Some of our affiliate sponsors or advertisers may
employ cookies for purposes of tracking commissions due on sales or
referrals.) We take appropriate precautions to insure that our websites
and computers are free of viruses, worms and other malicious code. When
we initially install a hyperlink to another website, we manually test the
link to assure that it directs our website visitors to the designated
location. We periodically test links to ensure that they are still
functional and do not redirect visitors away from designated websites.
When You Visit Our Websites
When you visit our websites to read or download information, we may collect
and store information about your visit for statistical purposes. For
example, we may count the number of visitors to the different pages of our
websites to help make them more useful to future visitors. This data does
not identify you personally. We automatically collect and store the
following information about your visit:
- The domain name of your ISP (internet service provider) and the IP
(internet protocol) address your ISP has assigned to your computer for
your internet session. Your IP address may be static or may change
each time you connect to the internet or turn on your computer.
- The date and time you access our website.
- The amount of time you remain on our website.
- The pages you visit while on our website and the amount of time you
remain on each page.
- The referrer who directed you to our website. This may be a search
engine or another website, or you may have arrived directly by typing
one of our URLs into your browser.
- The referral method by which you found our website. If you arrived
through a search engine, this may include the search string you used
that led to our website’s placement in your search results.
- The type of browser, operating system and screen resolution setting
you used to access our site.
- The User Agent string your browser used to access our website.
From the above information we may determine the city, state and country of
origin from which your internet session originated. This information
is used only for demographic purposes to help us improve website
functionality and quality of information presented on our websites.
Any information that you provide on our websites will be used only for the
purposes stated in this Online Privacy Policy, except as required by law
or if pertinent to judicial or governmental investigations or
proceedings.
IMPORTANT: Except for
verifiable search engines and validators, WE DO NOT PERMIT ANY AUTOMATED
BROWSING AGENTS ON OUR WEBSITES. These include but are not limited to
anonymous agents (those which fail to supply a User Agent string or
deliberately mask their identity), email harvesters, blog comment spammers,
blog trackback spammers, offline browsers (downloaders, scrapers, web
strippers, browser extensions such as Bittorrent or Foxtorrent, and similar
software devices) and unknown bots (search engine spiders) or bots
masquerading as browsers.
We reserve the right to take any and all lawful actions to prevent automated
processes from accessing our web pages and directories. This is done
in the interest of keeping both visitor and proprietary information safe
from harm and to insure visitor privacy. If you have a genuine reason why
it is absolutely necessary for you to utilize automated browsing software
on our website, please contact us with complete details. If you run an
experimental or private search engine, you should provide a link within
the User Agent string directed to a web page which thoroughly describes
the nature and purpose of your bot.
Operating a browsing agent outside of the
prescribed parameters designated as appropriate for our websites could
result in your being banned permanently from our sites as well as from any
other sites that we manage. If you use a standard browser in a
conventional manner to surf the web, you are browsing appropriately.
If We Ask You to Complete a Survey
If we ask you to complete a survey, we may ask you for some personal
information (a range within which your age falls, for example). Any
information we request in a survey or feedback form will be used for
statistical purposes to help us improve website functionality, improve
quality of information presented on our websites, and select website
formats and topics based upon visitors’ aggregate interests. If
elsewhere on our websites we ask you to register to obtain a product or to
receive information, we promise that survey information and registration
information, if you choose to complete both, will remain separate from one
another so as not to identify you personally.
If We Ask You to Register
Our website content is free to all visitors. (See our
Copyright
Notice to learn what you can and cannot do with information
available on our websites and on those websites to which we link.) We
may ask you to register via a website registration form or to provide a
name and email address in order to receive specific information not
available on our websites. If we ask you to do this and you agree,
we will handle the personal information you provide to us in the same
manner as described in “If You Send Us eMail” below.
If You Send Us eMail
By sending us an electronic mail (email) message, you may be sending us
personal information such as your name, address, and email address. We
may do the following with any email message we receive:
- We may store information directly provided within an email message as
well as any information necessary for the transmission, retransmission
or response to said message. This information will include but is not
necessarily limited to your name, email address, and any text and
attachments delivered to us with your email.
- We may choose to respond to your email or to correspond with you
further. In doing so, we may request further information from you in
order to properly respond or communicate with you. You are not
obligated to send us additional information; however, failing to
do so may limit or curtail our ability to provide further response or
assistance. If you choose not to provide additional information or
feel uncomfortable in doing so, please let us know.
- We may place your name and email address into one or more mailing lists
maintained by or for our company. Such mailing lists may be utilized
for any of the following purposes:
- To provide information relating to our websites, our company, or
items we consider to be of special interest to individuals, groups
or the public at large.
- To provide respondents with occasional advertisements relating to
products or services we believe to be of special value.
- To distribute free newsletters relating to our company, our
websites, or interests our visitors may have.
Things We WON’T Do With Your eMail
We WILL NOT do any of the following with your email address or any
information you provide to us:
- Sell your personal information, including email address —
EVER.
- Provide your information to any other individual, company or third
party for the purpose of contacting you when that contact is not
directly initiated and conducted by our company. (We may employ a
third party to operate an autoresponder for us provided that they
adhere to strict confidentiality protocols.)
- Bombard you with advertisements or any other type of communication
that can in any way be construed as spam.
- Utilize false or anonymous email addresses that prevent you from
removing your email address from a mailing list (opting out).
You will always be able to either submit through an opt-out link or
email us directly if you wish your name to be removed from our
database.
- Ask you for personal information such as Social Security number (SSN),
credit card numbers or bank account information. If anyone entity
purporting to be Ten Spider Enterprises, LLC, asks you for
personal information such as this, you should decline to provide it
and inform us immediately of such an infraction. Merchants and
companies we affiliate with may request such information, but will
do so under their own business names.
Things YOU Should Not Do With eMail
Remember that email is not necessarily secure against interception. Be
extremely careful as to what personal information you include in email.
If your internet communication includes sensitive personal information
like your Social Security number, a credit card number or a password, be
sure it is being transmitted to a secure server (available through certain
websites but not normally available for email) so that the information is
encrypted during transmission.
If you are a spammer or have initiated correspondence with us through a mass
mailer who has harvested our email address from our website or in
any way obtained our email address without our permission, we may choose
to report you or the ISP who is servicing your account to appropriate
authorities.
Disclaimer: Websites to Which
We Link
Websites to which we link may belong to businesses or individuals which
compensate us for advertising space, companies with which we have an
affiliate or other business relationship, or individuals, businesses,
organizations or government agencies with which we have no affiliation
whatsoever. Each website to which we link is responsible for its own
content, maintenance and website privacy policies, which may be
substantially different from our own.
Ten Spider Enterprises, LLC, and its management have no control over any
website we link to and are in no way responsible for the content,
maintenance, privacy policies, or information collection practices of any
website not owned and operated by Ten Spider Enterprises, LLC, as a
proprietary website or joint venture website. Links to other websites
are provided as a convenience to our visitors; the presence of these
links is not an endorsement by Ten Spider Enterprises, LLC, of any
content, merchandise, service or viewpoint offered by a website other than
our own. Once you link to another website, you are subject to the
privacy policy of that site. It is your responsibility as a web
surfer to investigate the website privacy policy of any website you
may desire to visit or to enable features on your computer and internet
browser to protect yourself from unwanted intrusion.
While we do not collect information that can identify you as an individual
except as detailed above, and do not collect information such as street
address or credit card number, merchants and advertisers you link to
through our site may require personal information in order to perform such
activities as completing a purchase or delivering goods and services. You
should always verify that you have a secure server connection before
engaging in such a transaction. If you feel uncertain about providing
such information over your internet connection, you should not do so.
We reserve the right to amend our Online Privacy Policy without prior
notice. Any such amendment will immediately be posted to our websites as
a part of this Online Privacy Policy.
We are proud of our integrity and have worked hard to build websites that
are both user friendly and child safe. If you have a concern regarding
privacy or content that involves our websites or a website we link to,
send an email to the Spidermaster with
Subject Line as “Online Privacy Policy Concern” and an
explanation as to the concern you have. The email address of any email
relating to our Online Privacy Policy will be held in strictest
confidence and will not be placed into any mailing list.
Sincerely,
Kenneth L. Anderson
